If you find yourself in a situation where you feel unsafe, you can talk to a confidential adviser. In this video, Erik van Arkel and Myrthe van Amstel explain their role as confidential advisers and how they can help.

  • What you can do about undesirable behaviourAre you experiencing undesirable behaviour such as bullying, sexual harassment, aggression or discrimination, or are you being treated unjustly? Find out what you can do about it.
  • Confidential advisersConfidential advisers are there to support you if you're experiencing undesirable behaviour. Their role is to listen and advise, and they can refer you to a professional.
  • Courses and workshops about undesirable behaviourThe UvA offers training courses, workshops and theatre performances. You’ll learn to recognise unsafe situations and to address undesirable behaviour.
  • OmbudspersonYou can contact the ombudsperson to discuss structural problems or abuses in private. The ombudsperson will make recommendations to improve the situation.
  • Make a complaint about undesirable behaviourAre you experiencing undesirable behaviour such as bullying, sexual harassment, aggression or discrimination, or are you being treated unjustly? Find out how to make a complaint.
