Tuition fee payment: digital authorisation (direct debit)
Important information
- For you to be able to issue a digital authorisation, your bank must be located in the SEPA payment area. If this is not the case, the UvA will not be able to collect the money from your account by means of a direct debit authorisation.
- It is not possible to issue a digital authorisation until you have received a request for payment. You should therefore keep a close eye on your inbox and your Studielink account.
- You can pay the tuition fees in full at once or in 10 instalments. If you will start in February or will be attending a pre-Master’s programme, you can pay in either one or five instalments.
- If you wish to pay in instalments, a one-off administrative fee of €24.00 will be added to the first instalment.
Steps to follow in Studielink
Log into Studielink and complete the following steps:
- Go to the ‘Payment’ tab and click on ‘Enter payment details’.
- Select the country in which your bank is located.
- Select the option ‘Digital authorisation’.
- You will then see the following question: ‘Who is paying the tuition fees?’. Select ‘Me’ or ‘Someone else’.
- The next question you will see is: ‘Do you want to pay in instalments?’ Select ‘Yes’ or ‘No’.
- Enter the payment details required and confirm your information.
If something goes wrong when your digital authorisation is being processed, you will automatically be sent an email from Studielink once it is possible for you to try again.
