Before heading out, check which location is the least crowded via the study spaces page. This will help you find a comfortable spot to focus. For booking collaboration rooms or study booths, check UvA Spacefinder (Mapiq).
The P.C. Hoofthuis will be open during the weekend of 14 and 15 December, from 09:00 to 21:00, offering a total of 460 additional study spaces.
From Monday, 16 December, to Thursday, 19 December, several lecture halls in building J/K will be available for studying. You can use 29 rooms on the ground floor and in the basement, available from 8:00 to 20:00.
During exam periods, a stricter access policy is in effect. Please note that the Library is only accessible with a valid UvA student or staff card. Make sure to bring your physical card, as access is not possible without it.
Join the special guided study sessions during the exam period. Daily from 10:00 to 22:00, you will study together with fellow students in a quiet environment, supported by a host who monitors the Pomodoro timer and schedule. Attention will be given to relaxation, with short meditations led by a student psychologist and peer-led check-ins to help you maintain your focus and reduce stress.These sessions take place in the special Focus Room of the University Library Singel or online via Microsoft Teams.

The University Library at the Singel (UB) is the only location that will remain open during the UvA closing days, from 25 December to 1 January. However, the UB will be closed on 25 and 26 December, and 1 January. On 24 and 31 December, the Library will close earlier.
Note: During the December recess, there will be no book deliveries from the book depot.
