Although these platforms offer no assisted living or modifications, you may still find accommodation there that meets your needs. Please keep in mind that these are waiting time based platforms and it will take up to a few years to be able to secure housing.

Temporary housing for international and exchange students with a disability

If you are an international or exchange student please contact the UvA Student Housing departmentExternal link as soon as you know you will start your studies at the UvA. We will try our best to find a solution for your housing needs. De KeyExternal link and DUWOExternal link offer a limited number of accommodations that have been modified to meet the criteria for students with a disability.

Please keep in mind that our temporary housing (max. 2 semesters) cannot be converted into (more) permanent residence, not even for students with a disability or chronic illness. This means that after the first two semesters you will have to arrange accommodation yourself on the private market.
