Options for modifying your study programme

We recommend making an appointment with your study adviser at an early stage in your pregnancy to discuss your needs and possible options for modifying your study programme. This can also be useful for students who are mothers or fathers. Parents can also ask their study adviser for help in exceptional situations, such as a potential delay in completing their studies because a child is ill.

Measures for staying safe and healthy

Are you pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive? Then it's important to think about health and safety while studying. Talk with your study adviser to discuss any potential health risks and which measures are needed to protect yourself and your baby.

Study completion delays due to pregnancy: financial assistance

If you are falling behind as a result of pregnancy or childbirth and meet the relevant preconditions, you will be eligible to receive financial assistance from the university through the Profiling Fund. This assistance will be provided for a maximum of four months.

If you are not entitled to student grants or are receiving less than you need to cover the cost of your studies, you can apply to a private fund following a recommendation from a Student Counsellor.
