Are you experiencing difficulties with studying and are you looking for help? The study adviser is always there for you. The UvA also offers various facilities for study support, such as workshops on study skills, assistance in choosing a new study or an appointment with a student counsellor.

  • Study adviserThe study adviser can help you with questions about your curriculum, your planning or personal circumstances that are affecting your studies.
  • Training, workshops and groupsThe UvA offers you workshops, training courses, information sessions and groups to study more effectively. You can also work on the skills you need after graduation.
  • Help with doubts about your study choiceIf you're considering changing to a different Bachelor's programme, the UvA offers different kinds of support: a test, a study-choice course, or an appointment with a career adviser.
  • Student counsellorsThe UvA student counsellors are available to support you in case of special circumstances that affect your study progress.
  • UvA psychologistsAre stress or mental health problems interfering with your studies? The UvA's psychologists can offer various types of support such as groups, workshops, courses or consultations.
  • Help from your lecturer during your studies Are you having difficulty with the course subject matter or problems with an exam? Talk with your lecturer.
  • E-coaching Available in Dutch only, this coaching programme focuses on time management and effective studying.
